If you’ve enabled international roaming in an eligible destination, your device will connect to one of our overseas mobile network partners to get you online.

    If you’re having trouble:

    • Try waiting 10 minutes, as it can take a little time to connect to overseas providers.
    • Make sure data roaming is enabled. Learn how through your device manufacturer, or in our device guides.
    • If you’re using International Roaming Day Pass on a plan, it can take up to 2 hours to activate.
    • Check you’ve turned international roaming on in the My Telstra app:
      1. Select your service, then Extras
      2. Select International Roaming
      3. Turn Day Pass on.
