What is conferencing and how do I use it?

Conferencing lets you talk to two or more people at once, and either person can leave the call at any stage, so you can bring in someone else.

At least three calls can be conferenced at once, however most nbn® and 4G fixed services will allow up to five calls to be conferenced at once.

    Where is it available?

Conferencing is automatically available on home phones in most areas throughout Australia. Conferencing is available on Telstra Home Phone services provided on the nbn, but is limited to three people on non-nbn services.

    What else should I know?

    • While you’re in a conference, Call Waiting will not work, but if your Call Forward Immediate or Busy is set, it will still work.
    • Call charges apply at standard rates for each call that joins the chat.
