How do I make my phone number private?
You can choose to register your phone number as either listed or unlisted in printed, online and voice assisted public directories. These settings make your phone number private or public as follows:
- Listed - your name, address and phone number details will be available in printed, online and voice assisted public directories.
- Unlisted - your details will not be included in printed, online and voice assisted public directories.
Directory listing settings apply to each service separately.
How can I change my 'directory listing' preference to 'list' or 'unlist' my service?
- Sign in to My Telstra and go to Services
- Select the service you wish to change
- Go to View or manage your plan and Manage directory listing
- Follow the prompts to edit your directory listing settings.
Please note:
- It may take up to 3 business days for changes to be updated on online directories and may appear in other directories that are unrelated to Telstra and the White Pages.
- There is no additional charge for our unlisted service option.
- If your request to ‘unlist’ is urgent and needs to be removed from White pages online before 3 business days, contact us
If you can’t see or make changes to your privacy settings under your plan, contact us for assistance.
If you have a paid listing with Thryv, you’ll need to contact Thryv to make changes.
How do I stop telemarketing calls?
Our unlisted service option won’t stop telemarketers calling your phone. To stop receiving telemarketing calls, consumers can register their details on the Australian Government's Do Not Call Register. Telstra does not operate this register.
How do I hide my number from outgoing calls?
To hide your number from outgoing calls, you can activate caller ID on your service.
