Dr. Ganesh’s time as a rural GP in Far North Queensland highlighted the challenges Australians face in accessing timely healthcare, particularly in remote areas.

To bridge this gap, Medmate provides services across every postcode at half the cost of traditional GP consultations. For patients in locations like Alice Springs or Dubbo, where in-person care can be difficult, Medmate offers immediate access to Australian doctors, medical guidance, and referrals for in-person visits. This platform complements existing healthcare services while addressing the growing GP shortage, especially in rural regions.

Dr. Ganesh, a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP), founded Medmate to leverage digital health technologies to improve accessibility. “Medmate is about providing affordable, accessible healthcare to every Australian, no matter their location,” he shared.

Medmate connects patients, pharmacies, and healthcare providers through an integrated system. Partnering with 6,000 pharmacies nationwide, Medmate offers medication delivery and drives the adoption of electronic prescriptions in collaboration with the Australian Government, ensuring secure and efficient care.
