With the automotive industry leaving the country in droves in recent years, FONZ is arguably the last bastion of auto manufacturing in the country — and they’re doing it with a difference.
FONZ is Australia's leading designer and manufacturer of quality two-wheel electric motorbikes and road-scooters. They're built to be fully customisable and most importantly, to make a positive impact reducing the world's carbon footprint.
Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Michelle Nazzari, always knew she wanted to do something impactful from a young age. After working in the automotive industry for 15 years, she was inspired during a motorcycle trip in Colombia in 2010. FONZ was born shortly after.
Using technical innovation, efficiency and intuitive design, Michelle and the team at FONZ embarked on years of research, development and testing to get to where they are now.
The result is a high-performance product range that looks good, feels good and is good for the planet. There are bikes to suit any rider, whether someone is looking for an easy commute or an adrenaline rush.
Beyond manufacturing a range of incredible products locally, the team at FONZ acts on a broader range of sustainability issues, including electrification and striving towards a carbon neutral footprint.
In recognition of its commitment to the environment, FONZ was the 2023 Telstra Best of Business Awards National Promoting Sustainability Winner.
The Awards process is like a layer of due diligence that I just haven’t experienced before, it is something I am reflecting on now and using what I have learnt in so many different areas of my business. I really encourage everyone to get involved because it is an incredible experience.
