Information about the service

The Telstra Environment Monitoring Service (Service) helps with deployment of affordable IoT devices by providing cost effective data collection, visibility and insights that help empower your business to work smarter, simpler and more efficiently. The Service uses a Telstra Cat M1 and NB-IoT certified data logger device (Device) together with a Data Plan and optional accessories and sensors to capture data that can help businesses improve resource management, safety and efficiency, services and yield potential.
Telstra has announced that it will be switching off its 3G (850MHz) service on 30 June 2024. If you use 3G only devices they will no longer work from this date. For further information please visit: tel.st/3g.

To optimise the use of a Device in the field, it is highly recommended that you use the Telstra IoT Service to manage and configure your Device. If you elect to take the Telstra IoT Service and we agree to provide it to you, the terms in the Telstra Internet of Things (IoT) Service section of Our Customer Terms and your separate agreement with us for that service (if any) apply to your purchase and our supply of that service.

The full list of available Devices you can take with your Service are set out in the TelstraDev Portal (as described and provided to you on the terms set out in the Cloud Services: TelstraDev Portal Terms of Use section of Our Customer Terms). We may update that list from time to time and do not guarantee that any specific Device will be available on the TelstraDev Portal. As at August 27 2020, the Devices you can take as part of your Service include:
· Captis Multi – 6 inputs including, 2 digital inputs, 2 one-wire sensor channels, analogue input and RS232/485 Modbus serial input.
· Captis Pulse Lite – 2 digital inputs.
For further detail on Device specifications you can request a copy of the relevant Device specification sheet.
Optional Hardware Add-Ons

We may make Device accessories and sensors available via the TelstraDev Portal from time to time. If you order any such Device accessories and sensors, they form part of your Service. We may update the list of available accessories and sensors from time to time on the TelstraDev Portal and do not guarantee that any specific accessories or sensors will be available on the TelstraDev Portal.

Each Service includes:
· a Device – as described above.
· Optional Accessories and Sensors – as described above.
· a Data Plan – a month-to-month data plan (as described in the table above) that you can use with your Service.
What’s not included?

IoT Service – The IoT Service allows you to ingest data collected and generated by the Devices and allows you to conduct general device management. It includes a configuration tool set that allows you to conduct remote “over the air” device management and configuration.
Installation – physical installation of Devices. Unless we agree otherwise, you are responsible for the installation of any Device.
Additional Services – such as Training, Project Management and Professional Services
Additional term and fees apply to these services.

Refer to the Device and Data Plan cost table set out above. All prices stated are exclusive of GST.
- Invoicing

You will be invoiced upfront for each Device and the Monthly Charge for the first month of each Data Plan in the billing month immediately following the date on which you order your relevant Device and Data Plan. For example, if you order your Device and Data Plan on 15 June, you will be invoiced for your Device and the Monthly Charge for the first month of your Data Plan in the July billing month.
You will be invoiced for:
· all other Monthly Charges for your Data Plan monthly in advance thereafter; and
· all other fees and charges on or around the date they arise or as otherwise agreed with you in writing.
